Evaporative cooling works on the principle of heat absorption by moisture evaporation. Evaporative cooling will generally pay for itself (including installation) in just a few seasons. This equates to a great investment for consumers who on the average own the same home for 5-6 years. Also the low cost of maintaining this equipment is an added advantage to the end user. Evaporative cooling makes sense as add-on equipment to complement existing refrigerated air systems. You may install up-dux vents to exhaust the air through your attic and out the roof vents. By exhausting cool air through the attic, you can reduce the temperature of this hot spot and make your home more comfortable. It is important to remember to provide adequate exhaust in the attic area. Provide 2 sq. ft. of relief for every 1,000 CFM of air delivery.
